Summary L'accident (1911)

Mr. Matthews sends his wife and child to the seaside for a short holiday, promising to follow by the next train. On leaving the station, however, he meets an old friend, who persuades him to spend a few hours with him. Meantime, Mrs. Matthews and her little girl are seated in the train, a good scene showing the flying landscape. At the first stop, refreshments are partaken, and the holiday makers dally over their meal. A few hours later, the newsboys are crying out that a terrible train accident has happened, and Mr. Matthews reads that the train on which his wife and daughter were traveling is wrecked. Excitedly he rushes into the office of the railway company, where a telephone message brings the comforting assurance that all is well, and a happy reunion takes place in the railway station.
